The best place to start is with an intro lesson!
On your first lesson, we’ll talk about your experience and goals. I’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

I offer private lessons for individuals, couples, and small groups tailored to a variety of goals - wedding preparation, developing social dancing skills, learning a particular dance style, and more. I also offer larger group classes, both at my studio and hosted by outside organizations.
-
No partner is required! In individual private lessons, we will work one-on-one - meaning you get direct feedback from a professional partner! - and group classes are structured to rotate partners so everyone gets a chance to practice.
-
Not at all. Your lessons will be designed specifically to meet you where you’re at, and everything is taught step by step in a relaxed, supportive environment.
-
I offer lessons in all types of social and partner dancing, including Ballroom and Latin Dances, as well as line dancing. Learn more about specific dance styles here.
I do not offer lessons in ballet, tap, jazz, or other performance dance styles.
-
No problem at all! Lessons are designed to help beginners try different dance styles while building confidence and discovering what they enjoy most. There are common basic movements that we can work on right away as we figure out which styles you like best.
-
Attire: Workout clothes and date night attire are equally welcome! I recommend choosing clothing that you will be comfortable moving in and avoiding clothing that would be restrictive or require frequent adjustments.
Shoes: For footwear, you want shoes that are secure to your foot (no flip-flops) and have little to no tread on the bottom. The ideal dance shoe has a suede sole, but this is not required for most social dance styles.

Partner dancing involves two roles in conversation with each other - leaders and followers. Traditionally, men are leaders and women are followers; however, I believe anyone can learn either role (or both!) I am happy to discuss the options with you and how to decide where to start.
(I am well versed in both roles and can accommodate whatever you want to learn.)

I make every effort to accommodate the schedules of my students. Because this is an appointment-based business, I have a 24-hour cancellation policy and reserve the right to charge for lessons cancelled outside that window. Please let me know in advance of cancellations to avoid being charged.
